Fast Food you can eat on XLR8

You cannot always eat at home or prepare your meals so it is important to know what fast food you can eat when doing XLR8.

The other important thing to remember is this is all about living and not hiding yourself away.  If you want to have fast food you can you just have to make some changes to what you choose and eat.

Lucky for us it is easy now to have low carb food at most fast food restaurants.

  1. McDonalds

You can now create your own burger at most McDonalds, use the option to wrap in a lettuce.  If they don't have create your own burger McDonalds will serve every burger 'without the bun' and you will receive it in a container.  Ask for extra egg or bacon if you wish to the burger.

They will also sell pieces of grilled chicken on your request.

  1. KFC

We all know the smell of KFC but the fried chicken is not a good option when doing XLR8.  Grilled chicken is a much better option.  Each piece of grilled KFC chicken has less than 1 gram of carbs.

  1. Subway

This is a great option as you can make any salad into a salad bowl.  Watch some of the sauces.

  1. Hungry Jacks

Like McDonalds you can order your burger without the bun.

  1. Out for Coffee

Coffee or Tea with Cream or Half and Half

  1. Burrito Bowl

Mexican food is becoming more popular here but the tacos and tortillas can be very high in carbs. Almost every Mexican restaurant will allow you to create a low-carb version by leaving out the tortilla and other high-carb items

  1. Only sandwiches or rolls to order

Simply remove the bread or roll and eat the inside of the sandwich or roll.

  1. Sausage Roll or Pie

Just remove the pastry from a sausage roll and eat the meat and with a pie eat the meat from the pie only and put the pastry in the bin. (watch the sauce)

Even if you only see high-carb items on a menu, a delicious low-carb meal can be created at most fast-food restaurants by making simple substitutions.

Although fast food is certainly not as healthy as the food you can prepare at home, it’s good to know what to order in case it’s the only available option.
