What is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent fasting involves adjusting when we eat most of our daily calories. Intermittent Fasting maximises fat loss – perfect for XLR8. It is simply the voluntary act of withholding food for a specific period of time.
There are few methods that are as effective for weight loss as intermittent fasting, especially when combined with a low-carb diet. It causes insulin, the fat-storing hormone, to drop drastically while fat burning is accelerated. Adding intermittent fasting is like turbocharging XLR8.
Most people already “fast” every day, while they sleep. Intermittent fasting can be as simple as extending that fast a little longer.
When you eat a meal, your body spends a few hours processing that food, burning what it can from what you just consumed. Because it has all of this readily available, easy to burn energy in its blood stream (thanks to the food you ate), your body will choose to use that as energy rather than the fat you have stored. This is especially true if you just consumed carbs, as your body prefers to burn sugar as energy before any other source.
We use a daily 16-hour period of fasting and an 8-hour ‘eating window’. What that means is at 7pm at night you don't consume food again until 11am the next day.
What can I consume doing Fasting?
During this period you don't eat, but you should definitely drink. Water is the drink of choice, but coffee and tea are also great options. Continue to have your XLR8 BURN Shake in the morning but consume no food. Anything you drink should ideally be zero calories.
What are the benefits of intermittent fasting?
When you don’t eat for a while, several things happen in your body.

Why not try tonight at 7pm to not eat any food until 11am tomorrow morning.
Have your XLR8 Burn shake as per normal and only consume fluids in this period.
How did you go?
How did you feel?
Make sure you continue to have your XLR8 Products and follow your low carb food intake from 11am.
If you eat later than 7pm just extend your fasting for 16 hours past that.
Is it easy to do?
Yes, it is easy to follow. The hardest thing to do is telling yourself that you are not hungry, a lot of times we eat out of habit not out of hunger.
Forget breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacking you need to listen to your body and eat when you feel hungry except through this fasting period. If you feel hungry then have a drink.
Habits are the hardest things to change, if you have always had dinner at night and then had sweets or snacks this habit will be harder to break. Try it and see how you go.....you will be surprised at how awesome you feel when you stop consuming food for this 16 period.
I am a strong supporter of this method and have now been doing it for so long it is just part of my life now.
